Chutney de Manga (Mango Chutney)
10 mangas maduras descascadas e cortadas em cubos (hadem ou tommy)
1 colher de chá de canela em pó
1 xicara de açucar mascavo
1 xicara de vinagre
1/4 de xicara de molho ingles
2 colheres de chá de sal
1 colher de chá de molho de pimenta
1/4 de xicara de mostarda
preparo: coloque todos os ingredientes numa panela e cozinhe em fogo baixo, sem tampar a panela por uma hora. Mexa de vez em quando para não grudar no fundo. Retire da panela e coloque, anda quente, em vidros esterelizados.
Tampe bem e leve os vidros ao fogo numa panela com água. Deixe ferver por 20 minutos. Retire os vidros da panela, aperte a tampa e guarde num lugar seco e ventilado. Depois de abrir um vidro guarde-o na geladeira.
Dá 6 xícaras de chutney,
Obs.: Minha mãe sempre fazia essa receita e até chegou a vender o chutney pra um restaurante. Um bom presente de natal pra amantes de comida indiana.
